Summer days are coming soon (hooray!) and the recent heat we’re being treated to is giving us an early taster. Naturally, this has us thinking about nonchalant al fresco dining and all of the delightful drinks to be sipped over the coming months. Thought you knew the iconic glass of Pimm’s? Here are four super-simple recipes to impress with ease…

THE SPRITZ

Fizzy and fresh, fill a wine glass with ice cubes and pour in 50ml of Pimm’s No.1 and 75ml of lemonade. Top this up with sparkling wine and add some very aesthetically pleasing slices of cucumber and a sprig of mint. Did someone say heatwave?

THE GLORIOUS JUG

It wouldn’t be summer without a jug (or two). To create the dream mix, pour in 200ml of Pimm’s No.1 and top with lemonade. Get the classic look with plenty of sliced strawberries, oranges and cucumber. Make it pretty with a sprig of mint.

THE ENGLISH ROSE

Rose lemonade for the win? We think so. Get ready to ‘gram and fill a tumbler with ice cubes, pour 50ml of Pimm’s No.6 Vodka Cup and then add the delicious Fentiman’s Rose Lemonade. For extra sass, add a dash of lavender syrup, lemon juice and orange bitters.

THE CLASSIC

If you’re a firm believer that this tipple, created way back in 1840, should most definitely not be altered, then stick to the traditional blend. Fill a tall glass or tumbler with ice, pour 50ml of Pimm’s No.1 and mix with lemonade. Add those strawberries, mint leaves and orange slices, alongside refreshing cucumber, and you’re good to go!
