BEAUTY TRENDS: Temperley London SS16 Hair

Monday, 21 September 2015

Waving goodbye to summer and welcoming September has been tough. So, naturally we’ve been obsessing over the SS16 hair and make-up looks showcased on the catwalks at London Fashion Week…

Temperley London SS16 Hair

Our latest hair crush comes from the nonchalant low ponytails, seen at Temperley London on Sunday. The slightly disheveled, yet ultra pretty style was created by Antonio Corral Calero, Global Moroccanoil Ambassador.

Get the look…

•  Apply Moroccanoil Treatment to wet hair and blast dry

•  Splitting hair into three sections (the sides and back), apply Moroccanoil Root Boost in uneven zig zag motions and blast dry, using the fingers to work it into the hair. This will give the hair an uneven texture

•  Create a straight middle parting from the hairline to the crown

•  Using your fingers, loosely rake the hair back into a ponytail at the nape of the neck and secure with an elastic. There is no need to use a brush - use your fingers to get a natural, easy look

•  Grabbing the ponytail with one hand, use the fingers of your other hand to weave into the top of the ponytail. Close your fingers tightly, to grip sections of hair in between, and lift them an inch to give the ponytail some additional texture

•  Take random sections of hair and, using an inch and a half barrel tong, loosely curl the hair into the head. Do this to three or four sections

•  Use the tips of your fingers to dishevel the ponytail down the length

•  Take a pinch of Moroccanoil Molding Cream, rub into hands to warm up, and tap it down the ponytail into the length of the hair

•  Take a little piece of hair from underneath the ponytail, wrap it around the elastic a few times and then secure with a pin, hiding the pin in the hair

•  Using your fingers, very lightly pull loose a few strands of hair at the front, and roll the hair in the tips of your fingers to give it some texture. Let the strands fall gently onto the face

Antonio Corral Calero, Global Moroccanoil Ambassador:

'This season, we are inspired by the flowing and printed fabrics, and the Cuban atmosphere. The hair look is a low texturized ponytail, which emulates summertime but with sensuality. With strands falling gently into the face, the hair creates a mysterious and flirtatious confidence, with a touch of sophistication.'
