When you think Gordon Ramsay, you instantly think of the f word - food. And exceptional customer service, of course! Marrying the two together, just like he would with a steak and peppercorn sauce, Gordon's award-winning restaurant, Maze, in the heart of Mayfair, is everything you'd expect from the restaurant mogul and more…
Upon arrival, you're greeted by the large, powerful black doors that instantly make you feel like a VIP as you skip through them. Hang up your jacket, relax into the buttery, soft leather chairs and fire up your tastebuds with a cocktail, as you cast your eyes over the mouth watering menu.
Gordon's menu fuses modern European cuisine with traditional Asian delights to create unforgettable dishes. The flavours are so punchy, they'll evoke memories of exciting destinations you've travelled to, that you'll no doubt want to revisit. As you tuck into the tasty grilled wonders such as the harissa lamb cutlets or the Cumbrian beef tataki, the menu will take you on a journey and feed the wanderlust traveller inside of you.
Full credit for this must also go to Maze's executive chef, Owen Sullivan. Having grown up on the Isle of Wight, where his parents ran a successful fish restaurant, Owen moved to London at the age of 17 to start his chef apprenticeship at the prestigious, Mandarin Oriental in Knightsbridge. His career kicked off from there and has gone from strength to strength, with a big trip to New Zealand, Asia and Australia inspiring many of the dishes you'll want to eat forever at Maze.
Would we recommended Maze? Absolutely, especially as you're only a stone’s throw away from shoppers’ haven on Oxford Street!
On 16 May 2017, Maze Grill Park Walk will celebrate welfare-friendly English rose veal with an exclusive menu by Executive Chef Owen Sullivan and Head Chef Ben Waugh, which aims to showcase the many ways in which veal can be enjoyed while educating diners on its ethical values.
