I've been stuck in a hair rut for years now. I was desperately in need of a freshen up, and with summer around the corner I thought it was time to lighten up…
Kennaland salon in London Fields is a little tricky to find, but like that pot of gold at the end of a never-ending rainbow, once you find it, it's more than worth it. The interior is an Instagrammer’s paradise, a gorgeous mix of vintage, pretty and a cool edge only found in East London. Not to mention the cute salon dog that makes the place feel so homely.
Colourist Sophia, talked to me about my hair and advised I jumped on the balayage bandwagon and had some lighter tones through it.
Not only did she do a fantastic job (my hair has never had more compliments) but she was realistic with what we could achieve, super-friendly and she made me a hot toddy as I was suffering from a cold. Actual 5-star service!
Finishing my colour off with a few layers put in by the lovely Francesca, my hair felt fresher, lighter, and hair advert swish-ier. I'm already planning my next visit as I'm loving my lighter tones so much, that I'd like to go lighter next time.
I can't recommend Kennaland enough, take it from someone who normally hates having their hair done. This place is well worth a visit and make sure you have enough space on your phone, as you're going to want to take a lot of pictures!
