Barreworks have an exercise studio in Richmond, but what if you want to all of the sculpting and toning benefits, without the travel? Founder, Vicki Anstey, has recognised the need for at-home workouts with a series of online classes, available to purchase and play for 48 hours.
So, if you struggle to find the get-up-and-go to leave the house after a long day, or want maximum results without taking a chunk out of your day, then this is the perfect solution.
The trend for ballet-inspired exercise shows no signs of slowing down, thanks to its toning benefits. Have you seen dancer’s bodies? Yep, we have, too. The whole process gets the job done without any hassle. All you need is a sturdy chair, small hand weights and a soft ball. We didn’t have the latter, so used a cushion, which worked just as well. The one-hour session combines a selection of sections that all work on problem areas, including arms, legs, bums and the stomach, whilst improving posture.
From very controlled movements to a whole lot of stretching, we didn’t break out into a heavy sweat, but certainly felt the burn on the tummy muscles and buttocks.
If convenience is key to fitting everything into one day, then this is the fitness solution we’ll be returning to. Plus, once you’ve mastered the first online class, there are plenty more to move onto for more advanced techniques.
